Ho Wah denies selling tin mining business
Ho Wah Genting Bhd share price dropped 3.4 per cent or 1.5 sen to close at 42.5 sen on Bursa Malaysia today after the company denied having sold its tin mining business.
The company, in a filing to the local bourse, said it did not negotiate with Sino-Platinum Metals Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Yunnan Tin Group, to dispose off its tin mining operations.
Ho Wah Genting was responding to an article in a chinese daily that Yunnan Tin, the world's biggest tin producer and exporter, was interested to acquire the company's tin business. - Bernama
