KKB Engineering to oppose Global Upline's RM31.6m claim (9466)

KUALA LUMPUR: KKB Engineering Bhd will oppose a claim by Global Upline Sdn Bhd which is seeking RM31.64mil over the termination of a sub-contract.
KKB Engineering said on Wednesday its subsidiary, KKB Builders Sdn Bhd was served with a writ of summons dated June 26, by Global Upline.
Global Upline sought to declare that the termination was illegal, null and void and had claimed RM31.64mil.
"The
company is of the opinion that Global Upline's claim is frivolous and
vexatious and without merit and accordingly, the company will strongly
oppose the claim through Messrs Battenberg & Talma, and will
counter-claim and seek all relief arising therefrom," it said.
