CB&I clinches Petronas contract for engineering design

KUALA LUMPUR: US-listed CB&I has secured a contract from Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) for the license and engineering design work for five petrochemicals units in Johor.
According to its website, CB&I said the project was part of the new refinery and petrochemicals integrated development (RAPID) project.
CB&I would provide several key technologies from its petrochemicals portfolio.
The US$20bil (RM62bil) RAPID project would enable Petronas to expand its products portfolio, capitalising on the demand for higher value products in the region.
