DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd has added ten new roaming outlets -- Macau, Pakistan, Bangladesh, New Zealand, Poland,
Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Spain and Brazil -- to the current list of networks.

In
a statement today, DiGi said the TravelSure Unlimited Roaming service
would allow customers to stay connected with the Internet roaming rates
in over 40 countries worldwide.

"In all these countries,
customers can now freely surf, e-mail, Facebook, use location services
and download applications on any smartphone and tablet, just as they
would at home -- worry-free," it said.

Its chief marketing
officer, Albern Murty, said the service meant that the customer's
overseas data charges would be capped at a fixed per-day rate for as
low as RM36 on selected networks in over 40 countries.

"This
means no bill shocks and our customers can stay connected on social
media, e-mails and their favourite websites with no worries," he said.

Meanwhile,
DiGi's senior management, including the chief executive officer and
chief marketing officer, has been made ambassadors of its international
roaming services from Aug 1, 2012.

"We always like to do things
a little differently, Every DiGi employee is a brand ambassador and the
same goes for the senior management team.

"As ambassadors, we
will use the opportunity to engage with customers whenever we
overselves travel, either on business or leisure," it said.

DiGi
said this was in line with its ongoing campaign, 'Don't Worry. Roam
DiGi' to encourage more customers to use the Internet and roam
worry-fee.

"At DiGi, our mission to provide 'Internet For All'
doesn't just mean enjoying worry-free Internet in Malaysia. It also
extends to millions of smartphone-loving Malaysians who are travelling
abroad more frequently for business and leisure," it said. -- Bernama
