Correct, 0.54 is the major resistance. It broke once before but brought down all the way to form a gravestone doji, thus high bearish signal is formed. Luckily, the bleeding stopped at 20MA and thus bear flag is created. This means that there is a high possibility to form another leg, similar to the previous one. The question is, will the big players 'play' Malton or not.

KUALA LUMPUR (March 22): The FBM KLCI eked out limited gains at the midday break on Friday amid the tepid investor sentiment at most regional markets.

At 12.30pm, the FBM KLCI rose 1.52 points to 1,632.27, lifted by gains including at BAT and Genting.

Losers led gainers by 309 to 215, while 279 counters traded unchanged. Volume was 522.56 million shares valued at RM647.23 million.

Among the top gainers in the morning session, BAT rose RM1.52 to RM61.66, I-BHD [] added 26 sen to RM2.10, Genting 14 sen to RM9.58, BIMB nine sen to RM3.43, KYM, Shell and Pos Malaysia added eight sen each to 86 sen, RM8.58 and RM4.24, while DKSH gained seven sen to RM3.25.

Naim Indah Corp was the most actively traded counter with 37.3 million shares done. The stock rose one sen to 15.5 sen.

The other actives included Tebrau Teguh, GPRO, Zelan, Metronic, Borneo Oil, Permaju and Compugates.

The top losers included United PLANTATION []s, Aeon, UMW, Panasonic, Y&G, Top Glove, Dutch Lady, Sarawak Oil Palms, PPB and F&N.

Meanwhile, Asian shares hovered near their lowest in nearly three months on Friday and the euro was under pressure as investors grew concerned about a possible debt default by Cyprus and deteriorating economic activity in the euro zone, according to Reuters.

The dollar held steady against a basket of major currencies while gold held near one-month high, supported by investor demand for safe-haven assets, it said.
