HB Global lapses into P17 status

KUALA LUMPUR, May 8 -- Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd announced
today HB Global Ltd had triggered the criteria pursuant to Practice Note
No 17 (PN17) of its Main Market Listing Requirements.
Bursa Malaysia Securities said it would continue to monitor the progress
of HB Global in respect of its compliance with the Listing Requirements.
Categorised as financially distressed, companies that fall within the
PN17 definition need to submit their proposal to the approving authority
to restructure and revive the company to maintain the listing status.
To date, there are 24 companies under PN17, representing 2.63 per
cent of the 914 companies listed on Bursa Malaysia Securities, it said in
a statement.
