TH Plantations to complete Kalimantan land purchase by June

KUALA LUMPUR: TH Plantation Bhd expects to complete its acquisition of 11,837ha of land in Kalimantan, Indonesia by June this year.
"We are in the midst of completing the acquisition of PT Persada Kencana Prima, after we acquire it, our total landbank will be at about 110,000ha," said TH Plantation chief executive officer Datuk Zainal Anwar Zainal Aminuddin after the AGM on Monday.
TH Plantation is also targeting to plant 8,000ha of rubber at the Bonggaya forest reserve in Sandakan, Sabah.
"We are applying for RM100mil of soft-loan from Malaysian Timber Industry Board," he said.
"We are hoping to diversify our revenue. Probably in six years, it will start contributing to the group revenue," he added.
