Fajar Baru posts RM1.5m net profit, optimistic on growth
KUALA LUMPUR: Fajar Baru Builder Group Bhd
posted net profit of RM1.55mil in its third quarter ended March 31,
2013, a turnaround from the net loss of RM3.9mil a year ago, supported
by its construction projects.
It said on Monday revenue rose 81.7% to RM68.6mil from RM25.3mil while earnings per share were 0.83 sen.
For
the nine months, Fajar Baru posted net profit of RM2.9mil compared with
net loss of RM1.1mil in the previous corresponding period. Revenue rose
4.8% to RM138.77mil from RM132.34mil.
Fajar Baru said it would
continue to focus on its main core business activities and is optimistic
on another challenging year ahead, adding that its property development
division would contribute to its earnings.
"Fajar Baru will
continue to focus on its main core business activities and expected to
deliver another challenging year of revenue growth, driven by several
on-going projects being awarded to the group that will be continuously
implemented over the next couple of years," it said.
