Petronas stocks, KLK drag KLCI into the red

KUALA LUMPUR: Profit taking on Petronas-related stocks and Kuala Lumpur Kepong dragged the FBM KLCI into the red in late afternoon trade on Wednesday.
The decline which was a turnaround from the positive outlook in the morning. However, there were no adverse negative news.
At
3.18pm, the KLCI was down 5.50 points to 1,781.88. Turnover was 2.05
billion shares valued at RM1.91bil. Declining stocks beat advancers 574
to 303.
Petronas Gas fell 64 sen to RM21 and Petronas Dagangan lost 26 sen to RM25.42. BAT was the top loser, down 86 sen to RM64.08.
KL Kepong was down 44 sen to RM21.30, while Tan Chong fell 23 sen to RM6.78 and MBM Resources 17 sen to RM4.
Among the financial stocks, HLFG 30 sen to RM15.38 and Affin 22 sen to RM4.18.
