SapuraKencana bidding for jobs worth RM18b

KUALA LUMPUR: SapuraKencana Petroleum Bhd is currently bidding for jobs worth more than RM18 billion, said RHB Research.
Quoting
industry sources, the research firm said the bidding included
Petrobras' seven pipelay support vessels (PLSV) worth some RM7 billion
to RM8 billion.
Petrobras is a semi-public Brazilian multinational energy corporation.
"We
believe that the group will also secure a slice of tenders from the
Pan-Malaysia hook-up and commissioning (HUC) project as well as the
transportation and installation tenders relating to the upcoming
Pan-Malaysia project," RHB Research said in a note today.
As of end-March 2013, SapuraKencana's order book stood at RM18.2 billion.
"We
noted that some RM8 billion worth of orders will be recognised in
financial year 2014 while the remaining RM10 billion will accrue to the
next financial year.
"The company's large order book, comprising a
mix of short and long-term contracts, will provide it with a healthy
revenue stream," the research house added. -- BERNAMA
