Protasco 1Q revenue up but profit down

KAJANG (MAY 27, 2013): Protasco Berhad saw its revenue for the first
quarter of 2013 rise 13% to RM134.7 million, from RM118.9 million in
the previous corresponding period.
However, it posted a net profit of RM4.9 million, down from RM5.6
million.
The company said despite a drop in engineering services segment’s
revenue, overall revenue was higher owing to higher contribution from
CONSTRUCTION [] and property development segments.
While its property development, construction and trading divisions
posted profits, its engineering services and education divisions incurred
operating losses
