KUALA LUMPUR (August 5): Malaysia's exports in June fell 6.9 percent from a year earlier to a four-month low as demand to China and the United States slackened, data from the Statistics Department showed on Monday, while shipments of electronics and palm oil remained sluggish.
The decline was slightly weaker than expected and adds to the drag on the trade-reliant country's export performance in the first half of 2013, which slid 3.8 percent to 337.82 billion ringgit ($103.7 billion) compared to the same period last year.
