Coastal Contracts sales orders hit RM1.34b

KUALA LUMPUR: Coastal Contracts Bhd’s sales orders rose to RM1.34bil with the latest orders totalling RM148mil comprising of three vessels.
It said on Wednesday its units Thaumas Marine Ltd and Coastal Marine Pte Ltd had secured contracts for the sale of one subsea support maintenance vessel and two low-end vessels for RM148mil.
Apart from the one unit SSMV and one unit low-end vessel which were sold to repeat customers, the other one unit low-end vessel was sold to a new customer.
Coastal Contracts said this was the fifth batch of vessel sales order secured by the group in FY2013.
“With the securing of these latest sales, the total value of the group’s vessel sales order book stood at approximately RM1.34bil,” it said.
