KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 22): The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower today, tracking the bearish underlying cash market.
Spot month January 2014 shed 5.5 points to 1,808, February 2014 lost 6.5 points to 1,807, March 2014 eased four points to 1,809, and June 2014 fell six points to 1,804.
Turnover surged to 9,018 lots from 4,514 lots yesterday, while open interest rose to 46,733 contracts, from 42,025 contracts Tuesday.
The underlying FBM KLCI closed 1.24 points lower, at 1,814.1.
