KUALA LUMPUR: The low-cost carrier terminal (LCCT) will shut down one week after the opening of klia2 on May 2.
Transport Ministry deputy minister Datuk Aziz Kaprawi said the closure of LCCT is to facilitate the opening of klia2.
"They (AirAsia) would have to move as LCCT is shutting on May 9 and all the operations will move," he added.
Kaprawi was asked on whether AirAsia had made preparations to move to klia2 for the opening.
There will be an open day for the rakyat at klia2 on April 27. Kaprawi said the open day is to allow the public to have a feel of the soon-to-be-opened airport.
