| Thursday, 26 June 2014 15:09 KUALA LUMPUR (June 26): Amtek Holdings Bhd shares hit limit up after rising as much as 30 sen or 53% to 87 sen. The stock reduced gains to 64.5 sen at 2.52pm with 712,300 shares changing hands. Shares of clothing and shoe manufacturer Amtek, which had risen from about 33 sen early this month, have not gone unnoticed by regulators. Today, Bursa Malaysia said in a statement on its website it had issued an unusual market activity (UMA) query on Amtek following the stock's recent gains. "We draw your attention to the recent price rise of your company’s shares," Bursa told Amtek. Amtek is required to provide updates on any corporate development, which could have led to its share price gains. The company had not responded to Bursa's query at the time of writing. |
