MTM is first TNB unit to receive IMS accreditation
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Transformer Manufacturing Sdn Bhd (MTM) is the first fully-owned subsidiary of national power utility Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) to receive the Integrated Management System (IMS) accreditation from Sirim Qas International.
TNB president and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh received the accreditation in a ceremony here yesterday.
The IMS is a combination of the ISO9001:2008, ISO14001:2004 and OSHAS18001:2007 accreditation for environment, quality and safety standards.
MTM is also targeting to raise its revenue contribution from overseas markets to 10% this year and 25% in 2014.
It has expanded operations to Brunei and is preparing to market to Indonesia and Cambodia soon, MTM chairman Datuk Seri Abdul Rashid Abdullah said.
MTM was incorporated in 1977 and provides services including design, production, installation, testing, and repair of transformers.
