KLCI Futures likely to be steadier next week
Saturday, 18 July 2015KUALA LUMPUR: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives is likely to be steadier next week in line with the positive trend on the cash market, said a dealer.
He said positive global economic developments would augur well for the futures market.
However, gains were expected to be limited due to some profit taking activities.
For the week just-ended, July 2015 rose 14.5 points to 1,727.5, August 2015 added 13 points to 1,719.5, September 2015 increased 15 points to 1,715 and December 2015 gained 15.5 points higher to 1,710.
Turnover for the week eased to 23,118 lots from 49,010 lots last week while open interest declined to 43,607 contracts from 49,661 contracts previously. - BERNAMA
