Berjaya Corp falls on rights offer proposal

Berjaya Corp fell the most in almost a week after the Malaysian property, insurance and gaming group proposed to raise as much as RM767.5 million from a rights offer of convertible loan stocks.

The stock dropped 1 percent to 98 sen at 9:12 a.m. local time in Kuala Lumpur trading, headed for the biggest decline since Sept. 14. -- Bloomberg
