Axis Comms eyes 40pc revenue growth
Axis Communications Malaysia, specialising in network cameras, is optimistic it can achieve 40 per cent revenue growth, year-on-year, following its aggressive development of innovative products.
Country manager Nafis Jasmani said:"Our strategy to continue growth is to form a broad and innovative product portfolio by allocating at least 30 per cent of our revenue for research and development, yearly.
"We also want to be closer to our customers here and establishing more branches in Malaysia is definitely in the pipeline,
"But, currently there is no timeline set, as it depends on the business growth and how fast we expand," he told reporters today.
Axis Communications Malaysia had estimated total sales for its overall video surveillance to be in the region of US$120 million this year with the network camera sales taking up an estimated US$40 million of the amount.
Nafis said the company hoped to capture 10 per cent of the US$40 million network camera market.
On trends for next year, he said they were looking into video content analysis for their network camera products, such as a face detection feature.
