MAA Assurance is now Zurich Insurance

Zurich Insurance Group renamed Malaysian Assurance Alliance Bhd (MAA Assurance) to Zurich Insurance Malaysia Bhd effective today.

It changed the name following the completion of its acquisition of MAA Assurance, a Malaysian composite insurer, in September 2011.

In a statement today, Zurich said there will be no impact on benefits and provisions covered by existing MAA Assurance policies as a result of the company name change.

Zurich Call Centre contact details and the company general line, however, remain unchanged at 1-300-888-622 and 03-21468000 respectively.

Building on MAA Assurance's strong heritage and local market knowledge, Zurich will leverage its strong financial position and global insurance expertise to serve customers in Malaysia, said the statement.

It said it is committed to enhance product and service offerings to meet customers' individual needs.
