UMW Hlgs climbs on solid Q1 earnings

UMW Holdings Bhd, an automotive assembler, climbed 2.2 percent to
RM8.02 in Kuala Lumpur trading at 9.35am, headed for a record close.
The company’s first-quarter earnings grew 45 percent from a year earlier to RM220 million, it said in a filing. -- Bloomberg
