Petra Energey up, 5142-Wah Seong may buy stake (5133)

PENERGY Petra Energy Bhd gained 1.4 per cent to RM1.46 at noon today.

Seong Corp may buy a 26.9 per cent stake in Petra Energy after
outbidding Pansar and businessman Desmond Lim Siew Choon, the Edge
Financial Daily reported, citing people it didn't identify.
Wah Seong said they won't be commenting due to stock exchange rules. Wah Seong dropped 0.5 per cent to RM1.84.

5142-Wah Seong succeeds in bid for Perdana Petroleum's 5133-Petra Energy stake

KUALA LUMPUR: Perdana Petroleum Bhd has picked Wah Seong Corporation Bhd's unit as the successful bidder for the 26.9% stake in Petra Energy Bhd.
Perdana Petroleum said on Thursday the board had selected Wasco Energy Ltd as the successful bidder for the 57.70 million sale shares.
Based on Thursday's closing price of RM1.47, the stake could be worth RM84.82mil.
CIMB Investment Bank Bhd was appointed by Petra Perdana to undertake a restricted tender process for the proposed divestment of the latter's entire stake in Petra Energy.
