Higher sales boosts Homeritz pre-tax profit (5160)

KUALA LUMPUR: Homeritz Corporation Bhd's pre-tax profit
for the third quarter ended May 31, 2012 went up to RM3.803 million from RM1.906 million posted in the same period last year.
Its revenue rose to RM23.121 million from RM20.107 million.
The company attributed the increase in revenue to the better
selling prices of certain products and higher volume of products sold.
The increase in profit before tax was primarily attributed to the higher profit margin as a result of higher sales.
However, the group will continue to remain focused in its core
business of design, manufacture, and sale of upholstered home
furniture.
The group is continuing with the efforts to develop new products,
new designs for existing products as well as derive better cost
efficiencies and effective cost management across all functions.
Barring unforeseen circumstances, the Board believes the Group's
prospects for the financial year ending Aug 31, 2012 would remain
