The pattern is formed when the stock's opening and closing prices are equal and occur at the high of the day. Investopedia explains 'Dragonfly Doji' A dragonfly doji pattern is a relatively difficult chart pattern to find, but when it is found within a defined trend it is often deemed to be a reliable signal that the trend is about to change direction. As you can see from the chart, on the day of the dragonfly doji (shown within the black box), traders realize that the price was sold down to unjustifiably low levels so they send the price back up to where the stock opened. The close near the day's open suggests that demand is again starting to outweigh supply

KLCI futures closes lower

KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 25): The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower today, on profit
taking, following last week's big gains.

Phillip Futures Sdn Bhd dealer Tan Sek Wei said the losses came on concerns over the US Federal Reserve's quantitative easing policy, and the debt ceiling still looming in the market.

"With these concerns looming over the market, the FBM KLCI futures contract is expected to move in a consolidated range," he told Bernama.

At close, September 2013 fell 8.5 points to 1,782, while October 2013 and December 2013 eased 11 points each to 1,782.5 and 1,781 respectively.

March 2014 slid 12 points to settle at 1,774.

Turnover doubled to 34,199 lots from yesterday's 16,567, while open interest increased to 82,353 contracts from 62,725 contracts, previously.

The underlying FBM KLCI closed 8.24 points lower at 1,784.06.
