KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 26): TH Heavy Engineering Bhd (THHE) today denied that it was close to winning a significant contract.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, THHE denied an article that appeared in 'The Star' on Wednesday, which claimed that the company was a frontrunner for the contract referred to as SK316 project.
"This contradicts with the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer's view that THHE and McDermott International Incorporated have equal chances of winning the project," it said.
"Consistent with the policies of the THHE, the company does not make any public announcements on bids for projects, and only makes public announcements upon being awarded projects.
