KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 2): UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of UMW HOLDINGS BHD [] aims to sell 36,000 units of Toyota Vios vehicles per annum.
Speaking at the launch of the company’s third generation Toyota Vios earlier today, UMW Toyota Motor president Datuk Ismet Suki said more than 8,000 units of the car had been ordered.
Ismet said the targeted 36,000 units was an increase from the average sales of 30,000 units per annum for its previous model.
"With this overwhelming response, we are sure the new Vios will be another success story for us,” said Ismet.
