Bursa issues UMA query to EA Technique after recent price rise
KUALA LUMPUR (May 20): EA Technique (M) Bhd has been issued an unusual market activity (UMA) query by Bursa Malaysia, following the recent rise in the marine vessel operator’s share price.
In a filing, the exchange directed the group to disclose any unannounced corporate development, rumour, report or any other possible reason behind the spike in its share price.
Since late April, EA Technique’s (fundamental: N/A; valuation: N/A) share price has been on an uptrend, gaining 31.5 sen or 37% to yesterday’s closing of RM1.17, compared to its closing of 85.5 sen on April 30.
At 11.10am today, the counter gained 2 sen or 1.7% to trade at RM1.19, with some 2.2 million shares exchanged. Its market capitalisation was RM589.68 million.
