KUALA LUMPUR (July 14): [size=14]Perwaja Holdings Bhd ([You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Financial Dashboard) said the trading of its shares will be suspended from 9am to 5pm tomorrow, pending an announcement on its regularisation plan, its filing to Bursa Malaysia today showed.

Perwaja (fundamental: 0; valuation: 0), a loss-making steel product manufacturer, is a PN17 outfit.

It was previously reported that it had signed a collaboration agreement with China-based Zhiyuan Investment Group Co Ltd, which would see the latter investing RM300 million to equip and upgrade Perwaja’s Kemaman plant in Terengganu to make stainless steel.

Following the news, the company’s share price rallied to its one-year high of 31.5 sen on July 10, over speculations that it will be submitting its regularisation plan.

Today, it closed 2.5 sen or 8.2% lower at 28 sen, with a market capitalisation of RM170.8 million. Year-to-date, the stock is up over five times from 5 sen on Jan 2.

(Note: The Edge Research's fundamental score reflects a company’s profitability and balance sheet strength, calculated based on historical numbers. The valuation score determines if a stock is attractively valued or not, also based on historical numbers. A score of 3 suggests strong fundamentals and attractive valuations.)
