KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 28): Efficient E-Solutions Bhd ([You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Valuation: 1.10, Fundamental: 1.65) rose as much as two sen after the business process outsourcing specialist proposed to sell two wholly-owned subsidiaries and return a portion of the sale proceeds to shareholders.

Last Friday, Efficient said it signed a conditional share purchase agreement with Canon Singapore to dispose of its 100% stake in Mailcom Sdn Bhd and Efficient Softech Sdn Bhd for RM75 million.

Efficient said it planned to distribute RM12.1 million or 1.7 sen per share as special dividend for shareholders.

Today, Efficient shares rose to 25.5 sen, its highest so far today. At 11.51am, the stock pared gains at 25 sen with some 14 million shares traded.
