The FBM KLCI ended Friday down 6.05 points or 0.36% to 1,667.87. Decliners beat advancers by 424 to 347 while 379 counters were unchanged.

Tenaga Nasional Bhd’s subsidiary Jimah East Power Sdn Bhd has issued RM8.98bil nominal value of Sukuk Murabahah to fund the construction and maintenance of the 2,000MW power plant to be built under Project 3B in Port Dickson. TNB took over 1MDB’s 70% stake in the greenfield project for RM46.98mil in July. Read more
OSK Ventures International Bhd has sold off its entire 15.92% stake in wireless networking and telecommunication product company Green Packet Bhd for RM32.97mil. Read more
EKVE Sdn Bhd, a unit of Ahmad Zaki Resources Bhd, has entered into agreements for debt financing facilities for the RM1.55bil East Klang Valley Expressway. The highway was approved by the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council in August but met with objections from environmental groups and Bukit Antarabangsa residents. Read more
The proposed Asia Pacific Trade and Expo City (Aptec) project in Johor, which would serve as a platform for China-Malaysia strategic economic partnership, has fallen through. The MoU between Malaysia Pacific Corp Bhd and China state-owned Black Sea Horizon Investment Holdings Ltd was not extended and has lapsed. Read more
Wah Seong Corp Bhd’s pipe coating unit has clinched a US$39.5mil (RM165.8mil) contract from Statoil ASA Norway for the coating work for the 430km Johan Sverdrup Export Pipeline Project. Read more
Hua Yang Bhd plans to develop six parcels of freehold land in Prai, some 3km from the Penang Bridge, into a mixed development project with a gross development value of RM311mil. Read more
Datasonic Group Bhd has secured a RM12.89mil contract from the Penang Municipal Council for the closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras on Penang island. Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng had said the council planned to install CCTVs to monitor illegal earthworks in hilly areas next year. Read more
