D'Saji aims for RM2m profit from skyview restaurant
Felda D'Saji Sdn Bhd (Felda D'Saji) through its subsidiary, D'Saji
Restaurant & Cafe, is aiming for the revolving restaurant D'Saji
Skyview at Alor Setar Tower here, to rake in an annual RM2 million
profit. The revolving restaurant began operations today.
The restaurant which features a modern contemporary concept, offers local
and western fare, said Felda D'Saji chief executive officer, Ahmad Zaki
Abdullah.
He said Felda D'Saji had spent more than RM600,000 to renovate the revolving
restaurant, including, replacing the kitchen and fittings.
"This restaurant is also being promoted at the D'Saji Skyview at the Kuala
Lumpur Tower, another establishment managed by Felda D'Saji," he added.
He was speaking to reporters after a pre-launch ceremony for the restaurant
here last night.
Ahmad Zaki said that while the marketing of the restaurant was being
undertaken throughout Kedah, it was also being done in Perlis,
Penang, Perak and neighbouring Thailand, with the cooperation of Tourism
Malaysia.
"I hope the public will patronise the restaurant which is having a promotion
at RM38 per person to enjoy a continental buffet, buffet hi-tea at RM12 and
buffet steamboat (RM29)," he added.
The prices include the cost of the ticket to go up the Alor Setar Tower
which stands at 165.5 metres (543 feet).
The D'Saji Skyview revolving restaurant can accommodate 240 persons at any
one time.
