Lynas may get pre-operating licence
The Malaysian government will issue a statement in the next few days on
whether Australian miner Lynas Corp. may be granted a pre-operating
license to refine rare earth, Maximus Johnity Ongkili, the country's
science, technology and innovation minister, told reporters today in
Selangor, near Kuala Lumpur.
The Southeast Asian nation's Atomic Energy Licensing Board is meeting today to discuss the matter.
"I am not sure if they will make a statement today," Ongkili said.
"But in the next few days we will issue a statement." - Bloomberg
