LPI Capital Q2 earnings up 28.6% to RM40.43m (8621)

KUALA LUMPUR: LPI Capital Bhd
kicked off the March-June earnings season, with net profit up 28.6% to
RM40.43mil from RM31.42mil a year ago due to its focus on risk
selection and its diversified business model.
It said on Monday
that for the second quarter ended June 20, its revenue increased by
23.9% to RM265.03mil from RM213.79mil. Earnings per share were 18.35
sen compared with 14.26 sen. It declared an interim dividend of 15 sen
a share compared with 25 sen a year ago.
LPI Capital founder and chairman, Tan Sri Teh Hong Piow
said: "Despite operating in a challenging industry and volatile
investment environment, the group is able to deliver yet another set of
remarkable results for the quarter under review."
In the first
half, its earnings rose 2.7% to RM71.91mil from RM70.04mil. Revenue
increased by 19.6% to RM511.09mil from RM427.12mil.
