Puncak Niaga gains on takeover news (6807)

Puncak Niaga Holdings Bhd, a water treatment operator, gained 1.5 percent to RM1.32 in Kuala Lumpur trading at 9.38am.

The government of Selangor state may assume management of Syabas, part-owned by Puncak Niaga, after a claim it can't provide satisfactory water supply, Bernama reported, citing Chief Minister Khalid Ibrahim. -- Bloomberg
