Mudajaya extends power plant LOI for Zelan (2283)
KUALA LUMPUR: Mudajaya Corporation Bhd
has extended the validity period for a letter of intent (LOI) for a
1,000MW coal-fired power plant project in Tanjung Bin, Johor.
Zelan Bhd said on Wednesday it had received a letter from Mudajaya about the extension of the LOI, dated Oct 25, 2011 to Jan 25, 2013.
"The
letter also states that all other terms and conditions as stipulated in
the LOI shall remain unchanged and enforceable," Zelan said in a
statement to Bursa Malaysia.
Under the LOI, Mudajaya would
subcontract part of the civil works for the power plant to Zelan with a
total value of not exceeding RM300mil.
