PM unveils initiatives to boost capital mart

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia plans to set up a mercantile exchange to provide
investors the opportunity to invest and hedge in gold futures and other
precious metals.
The country also wants to establish a trading venue for unlisted companies, so they have additional way to raise funds.
These
plans form part of a slew of initiatives announced by Prime Minister
Datuk Seri Najib Razak this evening to boost the capital market.
