HSBC is Best Foreign Commercial Bank

HSBC Bank Malaysia has been named the Best Foreign Commercial Bank for another year running by the Hong Kong-based
financial publication, Finance Asia.

In statement here today, Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Bank Malaysia, Mukhtar Hussain, said the win had reinforced the bank's leading position among foreign banks in Malaysia.

The bank also won for the fourth consecutive year, the Best Foreign Bank award from another publication, Alpha Southeast Asia.

Mukhtar said the awards were a call for the bank to continue to excel in its business and deliver superior end to end solutions for its customers.

"Our success lies in the strengths of our international expertise and connectivity. We will endeavour to build on our strengths and continue our efforts to meet the diversified financial needs of the Malaysian market," he added.

The Best Foreign Commercial Bank and Best Foreign Bank recognises excellence amongst Asian banks and looks at the participating banks' key financials, branch network, and growth of the relevant business units including important participation in loans, cash management mandates and key business transactions.
