New Hong Leong Bank leadership

Hong Leong Bank Bhd (HLBB) has formed a new organisational structure for the banking group and named its new leadership line-up, following the completion of its acquisition of EON Bank Group (EBG).
In a statement today, HLBB said the new structure would build on the combined strengths of HLBB and EBG to create a more market-focused, customer-oriented, innovative and universal banking group positioned to capitalise on growth opportunities in the country and the region.
Its group managing director/chief executive, Yvonne Chia, said this new leadership team would build on the merger's growth ambitions for value creation.
The bank appointed Peter Chow as chief operating officer, group business banking; Moey Tan (chief operating officer, group consumer banking); and, Hor Kwok Wai (chief operating officer, global markets).
The other key roles in the new enlarged entity included the newly-created group branch strategic channels and transformation division with Alan Wee as chief operating officer.
Meanwhile, HLBB said the group would make appointments to the Islamic banking senior leadership team soon. -- Bernama
