KUALA LUMPUR (April 16): The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has reemerged as a substantial shareholder in UEM Land Holdings after the former raised its stake in the developer to 5.01% from below 5% previously.

In a statement to the exchange today, UEM Land said the EPF had raised its stake after buying 1.15 million shares in the real estate firm last Thursday (April 11).

The EPF had earlier ceased to be a substantial shareholder of UEM Land on April 5 after the former's stake in the property developer fell below 5% when it sold 2.1 million shares of the developer in the open market.
