KUALA LUMPUR, April 17 (Bernama) -- Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) today clarified that it had not entered into any agreement with any party with regards to the oil blocks in Brazil.
The national oil corporation was commenting on news reports of its possible acquisition of OGX Petroleo and Gas Participacoes SA (OGX)'s interest in the Tubarao Martelo oil block in Brazil's Campos Basin.
The report said that OGX, the oil producer controlled by Brazilian billionaire, Eike Batista, was in advanced talks with Petronas to sell 40 per cent of the oil block for US$1 billion.
