KUALA LUMPUR: GREEN PACKET BHD [] saw some boardroom
changes, including the entry of Ong Yee Min, the daughter of OSK
Group’s major shareholder Tan Sri Ong Leong Huat.
In a statement to Bursa Malaysia yesterday, Green Packet said it had
appointed Yee Chee Wai, 48, its director while Yee Min, 29, is the
alternate director to Yee.
The company also announced the appointment of Tan Kay Yen, 42, as
chief financial officer. Tan is currently group COO, a post he has held
since 2006.
Yee, a director of public listed companies such as OSK VENTURES
INTERNATIONAL BHD [], MTOUCHE TECHNOLOGY [] BHD [] and
Maxwell International Holdings Bhd, was previously an alternate director
to Ong Ju Yan.
Ju Yan used to be on the board of Green Packet by virtue of OSK
Ventures International being a substantial shareholder.
However, he resigned last month because of his appointment at the
merged RHB-OSK group.
Yee Min has nine years of experience in the financial services industry
and holds a Bachelor’s degree in business (banking and finance) and a
Bachelor’s degree in computing from Monash University, Australia.
For the financial year ended Dec 31, 2012, the group posted a net loss
of RM65.7 million on revenue of RM588.6 million.
Green Packet’s share price declined to 34 sen yesterday after its recent peak of 38 sen last Friday.
