Hot Stock Country View jumps 22% on profit, dividends

KUALA LUMPUR (April 26): COUNTRY VIEW BHD [] jumped 22% or
31 sen to an intraday high of RM1.71 before paring gains at midday
break.
At 12.30pm, shares of the property developer settled at RM1.68 with
94,000 shares done.
The stock had gained on news that the firm's first quarter net profit
more than doubled from a year earlier and that the company will pay
more dividends.
Country View said yesterday its net profit came to RM17.19 million in
the quarter ended February 28, 2013 (1QFY13) compared to RM5.95
million previously.
The group recorded a revenue of RM63.35 million, a 67% increase from
RM37.87 million.
The group had earlier paid a first interim dividend of six sen a share less
25% tax during 1QFY13 and it plans to pay another four sen less tax
during the quarter.
This brings its dividends to 10 sen a share during the period.
