Homeritz' Q2 pre-tax profit dips to RM3m

Homeritz Corp Bhd's pre-tax profit fell to RM3.002 million for the
second quarter ended February 28, 2013, from RM3.573 million registered
in the same quarter last year.
Revenue, during the period under review, decreased to RM23.512
million from RM24.485 million recorded in the corresponding quarter in
2012.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, the furniture manufacturer
attributed the weaker results to lower profit margins as a result of
reduced sales and increased input cost.
Homeritz Corp said it would continue efforts to develop new
products, derive better cost efficiencies and effective cost management
across all functions.
"Barring unforeseen circumstances, the group will remain profitable for
the financial year ending Aug 31, 2013," it added.-- Bernama
