KUALA LUMPUR (May 6): MIDF Research has maintained Neutral on
MALAYSIA BUILDING SOCIETY BHD [] (MBSB) at RM2.80 with a target
price of RM2.50 and said the company’s 1QFY13 net profit of RM166.1
million exceeded the research house’s and consensus expectations.
In a note Monday, MIDF Research said growth of personal financing
accelerated due to promotional packages launched.
“NIM declined due to liquidity build up with its retail deposit FD
campaign.
Maintain Neutral with an unchanged target price of RM2.50 pegging
the stock to a PE ratio of 7.0x based on FY13 core EPS,” it said.
