Glove maker Hartalega Q4 earnings up 24.7% to RM62.4m

KUALA LUMPUR: Hartalega Holdings Bhd's earnings rose 24.7% to RM62.42mil in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2013 from RM50.06mil a year ago.
The world's largest synthetic glove maker said on Tuesday its profit before tax rose 26.2% to RM81.31mil from RM64.46mil.
Its revenue increased 12.3% to RM269.77mil. Earnings per share (EPS) were 8.52 sen compared with 6.87 sen a year ago.
For
FY ended March 31, 2013, net profit rose 16.7% to RM235.05mil from
RM201.43mil in the preceding financial year. Profit before tax increased
18.4% to RM305.88mil from RM258.40mil.
"The group surpassed the
RM1bil mark in revenue for the first time, recording RM1.032bil compared
with RM931.06mil last year (FY ended March 31, 2012)," it said.
Hartalega
declared a third interim dividend of 3.5 sen per share for FY ended
March 31, 2013. The entitlement date is May 24 and payment date is June
20.
