Hot Stock Alam Maritim jumps 6% on Petronas contract extension

KUALA LUMPUR (May 8): ALAM MARITIM RESOURCES BHD [], the
fourth most-actively-traded stock on the exchange, jumped 6% after the
oil and gas support-services company received a contract extension
from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd.
This is for the provision of one workboat to support the upstream
operations of the national oil firm.
As of 10.47am, Alam Maritim rose six sen to RM1.11 with some 17.7
million shares done. The stock climbed further to RM1.12 at 11.22am.
Alam Maritim said yesterday the RM38 milliion contract includes
catering, lodging and de-mobilisation costs. The contract will be
effective from October 9, 2013 to October 8 next year.
