KUALA LUMPUR (May 9): Telecommunication player DIGI.COM BHD []
has earmarked RM750 million for capital expenditure (capex) in 2013,
CEO Henrik Clausen said.
This is a 7% increase from RM700 million last year. Clausen said the
2013 capex allocation accounts for 11% of DiGi's sales.
"About 80% of the total (capex) amount will be utilised for network
improvement," he told reporters at DiGi's AGM today.
Clausen said Digi will expand its coverage in Sabah and Sarawak.
He said the firm is also looking at a 5% to 7% revenue growth in
financial year ending December 31, 2013 (FY13).
In 1QFY13, revenue grew 5 % year-on-year and 1.1% quarteron-
quarter, Clausen said.
"DiGi's long-term evolution (LTE) will be launched by end of Q2FY13, he
said.
