Quill Capita 1Q pretax profit flat, at RM8.11M

KUALA LUMPUR (May 9): QUILL CAPITA TRUST []'s pre-tax profit for
the first quarter ended March 31, 2013 rose marginally to RM8.11
million from RM8.10 million in the same period last year.
Revenue decreased to RM17.22 million from RM17.78 million
previously.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, Quill Capita said revenue declined
about 3.1 per cent mainly due to higher vacancy but mitigated by rental
rate increase of some PROPERTIES [].
It said the overall office demand-supply was expected to remain soft in
2013 due to impending new supply.
"However, the manager, Quill Capita Management Sdn Bhd, will
continue to explore acquisition opportunities as well as to focus on
active asset management, and capital and portfolio management
initiatives," it added. -- BERNAMA
