No price hikes on controlled goods

KUALA LUMPUR (May 11): The price of controlled goods such as sugar, cooking oil, flour, rice and petroleum products will not increase as speculated.
"The prices of these goods will remain as they are," said Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Saripuddin Kassim in a statement today.
Commenting on allegations of price hikes which were spread during and after the 13th general election, he said action would be taken on those taking advantage of the situation.
Consumers can lodge complaints directly to the ministry's branch offices or call 1MOCC at 03-80008000 or online at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
